Pathana is a student-first pathway planning system that helps high school and college students turn vague academic and career goals into a clear, explainable roadmap. Starting as early as high school, it connects coursework (including AP/IB and dual enrollment), extracurriculars, and college requirements to specific majors, target universities, and long-term career outcomes. By tracking progress across academics and experiences, Pathana closes career and future-education gaps through actionable insights, counselor interventions, and timely notifications. It offers tailored views for students, counselors, and parents, and is powered by authoritative data sources like ASSIST and O*NET. Pathana provides pathway intelligence and transparent “why” logic to guide decisions—not course registration or seat availability.

Discovery
Worked with stakeholders to define goals for a digital pathway assistant. Researched academic data sources, counselor workflows, and user behavior to design a platform that’s both impactful and easy to adopt.
UI/UX Design
Developed wireframes and prototypes focused on clarity and trust. Design centered on easy navigation, transparent “why” logic, and tailored views for students, counselors, and parents.
Development & Testing
Built with React, Node.js, and MongoDB. Integrated ASSIST and O*NET data, onboarding flows, and progress tracking with thorough testing and quality checks.
Deployment & Support
Deployed on AWS with monitoring and analytics. Ongoing support and feedback loops for feature updates and experience improvements.
